Organ system argument 10/25

 

 

 

Summary: What I learned this week, was that all organ systems work together. I learned mostly about the digestive system, and one thing I learned was that the waste is just a by product of the digestive system and it has nothing to do with the urinary system. I also learned that the anus is part of the digestive system. One last thing that I learned is that the tongue is a muscle and heals really quickly.

 

Backward looking I think I need to improve on leadership skills. I need to improve on them because I was in group of people that like to mess around and it was too much for me. One last thing is that sometimes they would not work at all and I kind of gave up.

 

Inward looking this piece revealed abut me as a learner that I tried to learn as much as possible in a short time period, and so I think of myself as a quick learner. One downside of trying to do it quickly was the work was kind of sloppy and my team had to go back and revise it. The upside to being quick was I found my limit on what I could do in certain periods of time.

 

Outward looking I would give myself a B+ grade for this work. The reason I would give it a B+ is because although the work was a little sloppy, this is a hard subject to learn and it still had some solid facts. What is holding it back from getting an A was probably team effort, because some people on the team did not do any work, which is why I would give myself a B+.

 

Forward looking if I had a chance to do this piece over again, I would change what organ system I was doing because some of the questions were kind of hard as we did not know much about that subject. Also it was hard to find answers to some of the questions because the answers on Google were not obvious because they found lots of medical sites. Another thing I would change if I had a chance to do this piece again would probably be my team mates.

Summary: this week is learned that the large intestine is also called the colon and is not swirly like the small intestine.Another thing i learned is that the mouth is part of the digestive system because that is where digestion  begins that is because  the enzymes in the mouth. The last thing i learned this week is the pesticides can hurt the digestive system.

Organ Systems 10/09

This week in class we learned about Organ Systems. One thing i learned in class is that all organ systems work together. I learned about urinary/excretory system one fact is that the pee is stored in the bladder and not the kidneys. I also learned about nervous system one fact is that it depends on where the spinal cord is hurt or where you get paralyzed and if it is high enough  you will die. I also learned about the skeletal system a fact is that your bones meet up at joints.

Organ System 09/28-10/02

Summary: This week in class I learned about Organ systems. I learned where the O2 turn in to carbon dioxide which is in the lungs. i also learned that there are 2 types of blood vessels veins and arteries. Another thing i learned is that the mouth is a organ.







S&EP:  In class I constructed a lung to represent and understand how the respiratory system works. I used a half a balloon and a small water bottle  to represent the diaphragm. and i used a balloon to represent the lung.
